Each year as part of Oremfest, we recognize two residents with the Spirit of Orem Award. The award is given to individuals who embody the Oremfest theme. This year’s theme is “Honor. Hope. Healing.” and is inspired by Orem’s Gold Star Families. A Gold Star Family is the immediate family member(s) of a fallen service member who died while serving in a time of conflict.
A nominated person does not have to be part of a Gold Star Family to be eligible for this award. The only requirements are that they live in Orem and do something to bring honor, hope, or healing to the community.
