Distribution of literature, marketing items, products, or candy is allowed but not required of participants. Distribution of
materials is permitted under the following guidelines:

Literature must include a valid coupon offer or other free offerings attached to it.
● Candy and marketing items may only be distributed along the side of the road.
● Participants who choose to distribute items must provide 2-4 distributors and 2 runners.
Wagons will be provided to transport supplies along the side of the road. Runners will
make sure that the supplies in the wagon are stocked to keep the distribution steady and
to disincentivize patrons from entering the road. If participants need to get more items to
distribute, they must collect them from the tail end of your parade entry. Items must be
handed or gently tossed into the crowd from the side of the street.
● NO HANDOUTS OR CANDY may be thrown from the entry or the center of the road to
avoid injuries.
● Entries whose participants violate the candy policy will not be permitted to apply for the
parade for the following year.

Each entry is limited to 50 feet in length and 1 lane in width. If an entry is
longer than 50 feet or wider than a typical lane, and wants to have more vehicles or a longer
trailer, then they are required to purchase an additional entry.

The Executive Committee reserves the right to refuse an entry into the
parade if it determines that the entry is controversial, unlawful, political, or otherwise considered
to be inconsistent with the standards, theme, quality, or purposes of the Oremfest parade.

No animals, including horses, are permitted in the Oremfest parade

The parade is a rain-or-shine event. Please dress appropriately for the
weather conditions. Entries are responsible for providing sufficient water for their participants.
