Student Marshals

Joshua is an exceptional student, friend, and teammate. He is the 5th of 10 children and enjoys spending time with family. He plays football, basketball, and baseball and excels at each. Joshua strives to be a good leader. He served as a captain of the OJHS Boys Basketball team and played on the Sophmore baseball team and football JV team for MVHS. Joshua also enjoys playing the piano and singing. He works hard at school to maintain a 4.0 GPA and to serve on student council. Joshua is kind and a friend to all, striving to build others up.

Abby is kind, cheerful, and optimistic. She serves in Hope Squad, is President of National Honor Society, and is the Vice President of her school. Abby maintains a 4.0 G.P.A. and loves learning. Abby’s favorite activities include drama and clogging. She has won many awards in her 9 years of clogging including “All American”, “Judges Choice” and “Outstanding Attitude”. Abby enjoys being on stage. She has been a part of Center Stage Youth Performers for 5 years. Abby loves singing and dancing and would love to continue her passion for the arts as a director or teacher. Abby is so grateful to all the people who have had such a positive influence in her life.

Elias Smith loves learning new skills, he has been teaching himself to play bass guitar for the past 9 months. Eli enjoys playing rugby and is in his fourth year, he’s learning various different positions including scrumhalf, flyhalf, winger, and fullback. He also likes hanging out with friends and spending time with family. He is currently focused on maintaining a 4.0 GPA and hopes to study software engineering in college.

Jade is a leader. She is dependable, hard working, forward-thinking, and a problem solver. She also loves people and wants them to feel like they belong. She seeks out those that need a friend or a smile. She shows empathy and kindness to everyone around her. She looks to have a positive attitude through challenging circumstances and has preserved with grace through some difficult times. Jade loves to be involved with her family, church and extra curricular activities. Jade loves to write poetry, read books, ride horses, play the alto saxophone in Jazz Band, and sing in the Bravo school choir.

Cade is a friendly, dedicated student leader and athlete. Cade has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout junior high school and has served for two years on the Student Council. His favorite subjects are math and biology. He is heavily involved in athletics having made the high school wrestling and baseball teams. In his spare time, Cade enjoys spending time with friends & family, playing Xbox, sports training, and being outdoors. He looks forward to going to high school next year and continuing to be involved as student leader and excelling in his academic pursuits. Cade plans on working to obtain a college scholarship and wants to explore becoming an entrepreneur and business owner.

Jazmin is a kind, smart, and friendly person. She gets along with everyone and every time when she is given the chance to try something new she will get the hang of it and learn very quickly. Jazmin always makes sure that her friends are ok. She does student council, DLI 5 Spanish and extended math. She loves anime, reading, dancing, listening to music and hanging out with her friends.

Brandon is an amazing student. He always has a great attitude and tries to participate a class based on physical activity. He has some physical challenges but that has never stopped him from trying his best. He also is on a ballroom dance team that has performant at our school assemblies and regularly participates. He is a great example of what it means to be an Eagle.

Das leben voll auskosten! That’s German for “Live life to the fullest!” After Brandon and his twin were born 3 months early, he suffered a paralyzing stroke as an infant. But Brandon makes no excuses to follow his dreams and pursue his passions. He loves ballroom dance and has been dancing since he was in 4th grade. He also enjoys creating content for his YouTube channel and he devours his German studies. If you ask the people closest to him, his greatest attribute is not his ambition, determination or even his sense of humor, but his ability to unconditionally love his family, peers and the communities he’s connected to.

Riley is an excellent student! She is interested in learning new skills, works hard in class, asks questions when needed, and she is very kind to others and has a positive outlook on life.

Riley is kind, imaginative and hardworking. She is a wonderful piano player, a skill which she has picked up quickly. Riley loves painting, reading, writing, cooking and anything where she can use her creativity. She takes getting good grades seriously, and this year she has maintained a 4.0 gpa. Riley is a joy to be around and a great friend, daughter and sister.

Eli is a pleasant, good natured, polite kid. He loves to read dystopian novels and go rock climbing. He is a member of the National Honors Society and enjoys the service projects they work on each week. Eli’s passion is cars and he can name any car driving down the street. He hopes to have a career designing cars someday.

Yesli has a big heart. She is very cheerful, outgoing and intelligent, she has many plans for the future and likes to help other people. She is currently in NHS. She loves helping people out and is very kind. Her favorite pastimes are listening to music, singing, and dancing; she also loves photography.

Azden loves anything to do with any animal or dinosaurs. Azden would love to grow up to be a zoologist or paleontologist. Azden enjoys taking vacations at his aunt and uncles cabin in Idaho where he can see and experience many different types of animals and play in the lake. Azden loves spending time with his family. Azden is highly intelligent when it comes animals and the iPad. Anyone who knows Azden will say that he has the sweetest heart and they absolutely love him. Azden is a huge blessing to our family.

Evelyn loves all forms of movement and is passionate about gymnastics, where she competes at both state and national levels. At school, she enjoys math and science. She also loves listening to music, singing, and playing piano. When she has free time, she enjoys sketching the world around her. Evelyn knows how to work hard, practice hard, and accomplish her goals. She loves being around other people and her enthusiasm for everything she does is contagious.

Ruby is responsible, kind, funny, and smart. She is an accomplished clogger and dances for the Extreme Rhythm Cloggers, where she also loves working as a teacher’s assistant in two special needs classes. The dancers adore her. She maintains a 4.0 GPA and especially enjoys math. Ruby won 1st place for her Duo scene at the Utah Shakespeare Competition. She enjoys playing the guitar, baking desserts, reading, and hopes to study STEM in college.

Nathan is a kind, happy and motivated person. He is patient and helpful to those around him. He strives to do his best at everything he does and often challenges himself to push to the next level. He loves to cook and try new recipes just for fun. He loves sports, especially soccer. Nathan has played soccer since he could walk and diligently puts in the time and effort needed for him to grow as a player. Nathan has a genuine enthusiasm for life that naturally spreads to those around him. He loves attending Maeser and strives to embody the values and drive it takes to be a Maeser Lion.
