Jewel Hunsaker

Orem Junior High

“She failed the newborn hearing test.” The nurse said the day Jewel was born. It wasn’t until the age of 3 that she received her first Cochlear Implant and was finally able to hear our world! Despite being born with this disability, Jewel has thrived in her home, church and of course, her school. She is friendly to everyone she meets, kind to those she loves and so generous when she has the opportunity to be. Especially when the school is holding a do-nut fundraiser and she purchases 60 donuts to share with her friends and strangers. Only taking one for herself. If you are having a bad day, she will be by your side in an instant. She lights up a room when she enters it, and when she leaves, everyone knows her catchphrase. “Have a Nice Day”!

Brennon is lowkey obsessed with playing Fortnite and participates competitively in online tournaments. He has even made some decent money from Youtube. When he hangs out with his family he likes to go see action films and play card and board games, especially the boardgame “hotels”. He brings a nice competitive edge and makes the game fun.
